Class Response: Arctic Tale

Ever imagine having to swim two days for protection or jumping off a cliff before being able to fly. This is happening to many animals in the Arctic. In class, we all had to watch a movie about how a polar bear and walrus survived with danger in every corner. The polar bear had to separate from its mother a year early because of the lack of food. The walrus had to keep swimming away with the entire family because they needed a place to rest without any harm. However, walrus didn't even learn the basics of how to climb on land properly. For both animals the main predator is the male polar bear. It can harm another polar bear by killing it while still young and it's a predator to the walrus because the walrus can easily be eaten if it doesn't escape quick enough. We learned this is the circle of life and we still wonder- is this global warming or something new that is completely natural?
