Social Studies: Today Our New President!

Today Americas new president has entered the White House. Today 'President' Obama had his inauguration in Washington D.C. The streets where filled with citizens from all over the United States of America. Not only is President Obama receiving the White House as his home, he is also receiving all the problems we are facing. Such as the economy.
However, tonight is a night for celebration. Many people congratulated President Obama and expressed how they felt being a witness while history was being made. this great event also brought over Denzel Washington and Steven Spielberg's. In Obama's speech he stated, "Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will be met easily or in a short period of time. But know this America, they will be met." I believe President Obama is a sign of hope and improvement. He says it will take time and I believe him. Problems take a longer time to fix than to make. While he was being escorted to the White House President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama walked out to wave to the crowd of people. I think that showed character to support all those who came out in the cold to see him become president.
Also, this inauguration was viewed by people all over the world. Barack Obama spent four years of his childhood in Indonesia. one man who was in his class said it was good that Obama is our president because it will reflect well on the new generation. Another man from Iraq, Ali, is a teacher and took pride in watching the inauguration Obama. "Obama will bring positive changes to Iraq by changing American policy toward our country." Ali is an Iraqi with African Ancestry's. Today was history in the making and many countries enjoyed watching this. Such as, Colombia, Indonesia and Iraq. I think that this is history in the making. Barack Obama is a leader and an inspiration. I just wonder what his first step in taking control will be?

Physic Phenomena

Recently a scientist wrote a book about physic phenomenas. His beliefs are that a supernatural gift is a trait. It runs in the family. There are four types of supernatural traits. First is telepathy, its the ability to to access someone elses consciousness. Second there is psychokinesis, which is the ability to use one's consciousness to affect external objects. Third there is clairyoyance. That is the ability to broaden one's consciousness to remote time and space. Lastly there is precognition which is the ability to see into the future. An example of one who had precognition is Abraham Lincoln. President Lincoln had a dream of him roaming in the White House asking people "What's going on!" The response he got was "The presidents been killed." After he got this dream he only told a couple of people, his wife and couple of friends. President Lincoln received this dream ten days before he was assassinated. Psychologist are still studying why some of the dreams people get aren't real. Most say because of our imaginations. The scientists' say most of the people who are physic have a different structure of the brain. Physics become physic after a near-death experience or they suffer a head trauma. This is because their brain has to change its ways. Also, people with autism have a greater chance of having a supernatural power. I believe that these supernatural gifts are real and do occur to people who have the gift running in their family. Or if they suffer a near-death experience or head trauma. After I read about Abraham Lincoln's experience I truly did believe in precognition.

Class Response: What is Symbiois

Symbiois is a close relationship between two organisms in which one organism lives near, on or even aside another organism, and the organisms benefit. This happens everywhere and all the time. There are three types of of symbiotic relationships. One type is commensalism, this is when one of the organisms benefit and the other is not harmed. An example of commensalism is when there barnacles on a whale. The barnacles have a place to grow and the whales don't seem to mind. The second is mutualism, that is when both organisms benefit from each other. Mutualism would be a clown fish and an anemone. The clown fish would get safety and have shelter; meanwhile the fish will attract others the anemone which it can feed of. Parasitism is when one organism gains while the other gets harmed. a pine tree and a woodpecker would be an example of parasitism because the woodpecker will get food from the tree. However, the tree will suffer from diseases and will weaken. Symbiotic relationships are important to life in my opinion and we can can notice multiple relationships while just out on a walk.

The Unfortunate Truth

Seven innocent whale have gone missing! Scientists presume that they are dead. This took place by the Seattle area in the US. this been a huge thing for the marine life. This has been the greatest loss of orcas in the last ten years. The marine biologist have turned on the alarm. They also believe there are explanations. One explanation they believe is the loss of food, this year it has been harder for the orcas to find salmon. However, there could also be the possibilities that pollution has been apart of this. Also, naval ships. There was a baby killer whale, Luna and she was once following a tugboat near the Vancouver Islands and was unfortunately killed by the boats propeller. This is one of the many of the sad stories of the unfortunate deaths of many whales. Whales have been an endangered species since 2005. I think that the the seven went out looking for food and since there's a decrease in salmon they went out farther to look for food. However, they could've got lost on their way back.

Class Reponse: The Food Chain

Recently, in class we have been working on what a food chain is. We have understood that the food chain shows how living things get their food and nutrient. The food chain always starts with a producer such as a tree, plant or shrub and then will get eaten by a primary consumer which could be a rabbit or a squirrel. Next the Primary consumer will be eaten by a secondary consumer. A secondary consumer could be a snake or an owl. Another interesting fact is that decomposers aren't always added to every food chain because they are always at the beginning and end of a food chain. Examples of decomposers are mushrooms and bacteria. A third interesting fact is that a herbivore only eats plants, a carnivore only eats meat and an omnivore eats both plants and meat. Also, there are more herbivores than carnivores. The reason is because each time energy is passed, less and less energy is passed. So a carnivore has to eat many herbivores to get enough energy. I think that the food chain is very complex and helpful especially for ecologist. I have learned a lot from this because I understand how energy is passed from one organism from another.

What Happened To The Hubble Telescope?

The Hubble Telescope has been fine for eighteen years. however, recently on September 27th the Hubble Telescope stopped working. this almost stopped all scientific communications from the telescope. the telescope has helped us extremely. we have a way to look at cosmos and because of the telescope scientists were able to confirm that black holes exist. scientist have also found out the refined measurements of the age of the universe and we also the the universes expansion rate. the universes expansion rate is rapidly increasing. over the two weeks the scientist at NASA are sending remote commands that switch on the failed operations. Scientists have been optimistic and they think that the rays of the sun harmed the Hubble Telescope or cosmic debris entered the backup of the Hubble Telescope. soon scientist will send a new handling unit with astronaut.

Math Blog: Math Is...

Math is a lot. Math this year has been about learning new ideas and reviewing and solving more complicated problems. This year math wasn't a extremely hard challenge. I understood everything that happened and everything that occurred even if I absent because everything was well explained and examples were shown for how to do a problem. Math was and is something that you learn from. Math this year was exciting because we learned something new each day or continued fun projects from previous days. To sum up, math is everything!!!
